Bridal Shoe Size Guide

Finding the right size is an important part of choosing your wedding shoes. Our shoes are listed in UK sizes, and the UK size shown on each product page is the size you should select when ordering.

Use the chart below to compare UK and US sizes and check the approximate heel-to-toe measurement for each size.

Choosing the right size

Whenever possible, measure your feet before placing your order rather than relying only on the size you usually wear. Shoe sizing can vary between brands, and factors such as the shape of your feet, the style of the shoe and the height of the heel can all affect the fit.

Measure both feet and use the measurement from the longer foot when comparing your measurements with the chart.

If you are between two sizes, I generally recommend selecting the larger size. It is usually easier to improve the fit of a slightly roomy shoe with an insole, heel grip or toe insert than to make a shoe that is too short more comfortable.

Measurements are provided as a sizing guide. The fit may vary slightly depending on the shoe style, toe shape, heel height and individual foot shape.

Shoe width

Unless a product description specifically states otherwise, our shoes are made in a standard width fitting.

Wide-fit styles are clearly identified in their product descriptions and can also be found in the Wide Fit Shoes collection. If you normally require a wide fit, have a particularly narrow foot or are unsure whether a particular design will suit you, please contact me before ordering.

How should bridal shoes fit?

Your shoes should feel secure without pinching or placing uncomfortable pressure on your toes. Your heel should feel supported, although a very small amount of movement can be normal with certain court shoes, slingbacks and higher-heeled styles.

When trying on your shoes:

• Try them indoors on a clean, carpeted surface.

• Wear the same type of tights, stockings or socks you intend to wear on your wedding day.

• Try both shoes, as most people have one foot that is slightly larger than the other.

• Walk around carefully to check the length, width and heel fit.

• Avoid trying them on when your feet are unusually cold, as feet can expand slightly throughout the day.
