How it attaches

The cape attaches to your wedding dress straps using small clips, allowing the fabric to drape from the shoulders and form a soft cowl across the back.

Your dress will need suitable straps or secure attachment points. If your gown is strapless, has very delicate straps, or you are unsure whether this style will work, please contact me before ordering with a photograph of your dress so I can advise.

Length and styling

The approximately 300cm length creates a cathedral-style train. How much fabric trails behind you will depend on your height, the attachment position and your dress.

The cowl depth and placement of the shoulder details will also vary with the spacing of your dress straps and how the cape is positioned. Please compare the photographs with your gown and contact me if you need help deciding whether this style is suitable.

Care and storage

Chiffon and lace are delicate, so take care around jewellery, sharp accessories and rough surfaces. Lift the train when walking over areas where it could catch or become soiled.

Unpack carefully on arrival and hang the cape to allow packing creases to relax. Avoid direct high heat and do not iron the lace appliqués. Please contact me before cleaning or heat treating the fabric if you are unsure.

Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ivory shades can look different in changing light or on different screens, and an exact match to every ivory dress cannot be guaranteed.

Each cape is individually made, so small variations in lace placement and drape are part of its handmade finish.
