The umbrella opens manually. Open and close it gently, checking that the lace and bows are clear of the moving frame. The metal ribs support the shaped canopy, but the umbrella should still be treated carefully and kept out of strong gusts. Do not force the mechanism.

Care and storage
After use, allow the umbrella to dry fully while open in a suitable place before closing and storing it. Wipe the canopy gently with a soft damp cloth and avoid soaking or rubbing the lace and bows.
Keep the decorative edge clear of jewellery, rough surfaces and sharp objects that could snag it. Do not pull on the lace or bow accents. Avoid abrasive cleaners and direct heat.
Store in a clean, dry place without placing heavy items on the frame or handle. Black fabric and lace may appear slightly different under changing light and screen settings.
